...when Renault was still sold in Canada.
An ad from the ‘Bridgewater Bulletin’ newspaper - Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada - April 26th, 1961 :)

I would love to find a nice 4cv “750” even though I know they are in all measurable quantities awful cars.

I didn’t know Canada got the Estafette. Cool. “Vlady’s” reminds me of Crazy Vaclav’s from the Simpsons.

Haha, you’re right! Forgot that episode! :D
I didn’t know we got huge Estafette here either until I saw this ad. I’ve only ever seen one restored Dauphine in Canadian-spec (well...one Dauphine, PERIOD, haha!) in person, so all I have to go by are things like this :)
Love older French rides though!
Also, the ad even mentions the Dauphine Gordini! : D

Yeah, there’s a lot to learned from those old ads. Especially when it comes to cars like these that weren’t saved. Lots of Dauphines down here in the States relatively, but I’ve only ever seen one Estafette. It may have been Canadian, I guess.
I wonder what happened to ol’ Crazy Vlady. Where is Hebbville anyway? I’m always fascinated by those old import car lots. Some of them would sell anything on wheels.

Hebbville is a little community just outside of and to the south of Bridgewater, Nova Scotia, Canada. I live about 15-20 minutes from Bridgewater in Mahone Bay, but Bridgewater is sortof like the “hub” town for the area where all the best shopping, etc. is. Mahone Bay and Lunenburg are mostly tourist towns, but very nice in their own right...just much smaller.
The car lot is long gone as far as I know....I am not even sure where it was located for certain. That being said, here is a part of town known as “Auto Row” as there are a LOT of car dealerships there (Mazda, Ford, GM/Chevy, VW, Kia, Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep - plus at least 2 used car dealerships), so I imagine what used to be Vlady’s lot exists as part of one of those now as Vlady’s was up in that part of town. :)

Quite the picture you have there....anything from British to that little Isetta!!!

Ah, ok. Thanks. I’ve never been up there, but I see where you’re talking about now. Interesting country for a little Renault.
